Shell Gadinia - Power Engine Oils Product Portfolio
Shell Gadinia is a line of specialized engine oils made for medium-speed diesel engines, especially those burning distillate fuels, biofuels, or low-sulphur variants - typically found in marine vessels and stationary power setups. It’s crafted to keep engines clean, efficient, and well-protected under tough conditions. Shell’s range of power-generation engine oils are designed to minimise deposit build-up and to keep your engine clean.
These engine oils are suitable for three distinct applications:
- Marine propulsion engines for small to mid-size vessels
- Marine auxiliary engines
- Stationary power generation
Shell Gadinia S3 is formulated for medium-speed diesel engines and carries approvals for a wide range of auxiliary equipment. Its formulation is specifically optimized to reduce liner lacquering - a common challenge in certain engine types. In addition, it is suitable for various non-engine applications, including reduction gears and stern tubes, making it a versatile single-lubricant solution for smaller vessels.

FEATURES:
-
Excellent Deposit Control & Cleanliness (Designed to prevent harmful buildups in pistons, rings, and cylinders)
(Reduces “liner lacquer” formation that causes increased oil use) -
Extended Oil Life & Oxidation Resistance (Stays stable and resists breakdown at high temperatures)
(Requires fewer oil changes and reduces waste) -
Improved Engine Reliability (Helps prevent ring sticking and breakage)
(Enhances overall engine durability under heavy load) -
Water Tolerance & Separator Efficiency (Handles water contamination better, working well with centrifugal separators to keep oil clean)
-
Multi-Use Versatility (Suitable not only for engines but also for gearboxes, clutches, stern tubes, deck machinery, and auxiliary systems - so vessels can use one oil for many parts)
-
OEM Approvals & Industry Standards
